In my journey to increase the amount of money I make online, I have spent $1000s and $1000s on almost every internet product and service hyped in the past 2 years. Most of them have not been worth the time it took to read the ebook and definitely not worth the hard earned money I had to pay. At this point I consider myself very jaded. I am very cautious (probably overly at this point) about what I buy. I no longer stand in line to purchase items during their in affiliate marketing fashion “over-hyped launch.” I usually give the early adopters several months to use the products and/or service to allow them to catch the errors, report the flaws and report the real opinions and reviews.

Wealthy Affiliate ScreenshotI have heard about and read reviews on Wealthy Affiliate website for many months. I figured it was like many of the other 20+ membership sites (im, am, articles, reviews, etc) that I had previously joined and eventually cancelled because of the inability to live up to the expectations or justify the monthly fees. I had stopped myself from joining Wealthy Affiliate several times over the months primarily because it all sounded too good to be true – like other glorious reviews. Well as tons of new internet marketing sales letters started flowing into my mailbox during September promoting the then ubiquitous PPC Classroom, I figured that I could either buy the $500 PPC Classroom or pay the $30 to finally try out the Wealthy Affiliate membership site – something I have really wanted to do anyways. It seemed like the perfect thing to do to consume my time with supposedly great tutorials, tools, cases studies and super helpful forums instead of dropping $500 for PPC Classroom, money which I didn’t have or wanted to spend. So I joined Wealthy Affiliate’s membership site.

This would be probably the 10th affiliate marketing type of membership site that I had joined at one time or another so I had my expectation set and was all prepared to be disappointed. I hate to admit it, but I have a preset attitude towards all online marketing purchases at this point of “I think you suck, but prove me wrong.” I probably judge them too harshly but I can’t forget the saying: “Cheat me once, shame on you; cheat me twice, shame on me!” Actually, now that I think of it, I am not judging them too harshly, I have to work as hard for my money as everyone else and I definitely need to start requiring these marketing products to actually earn the cost and produce continual income instead of me justifying their shortcomings.

So I login to the site. It looks professional and has a nice layout. There are more menu options than I ever expected. I have read all of the sites marketing information, but I figured that the “all helping forums” would be 90% of the site’s content. When in reality, I had looked around the site for 2 weeks before I even logged into the forums the first time. And I don’t mean 1 to 2 hours a week. I have put in a good 40 hours of reading and looking and learning before I even had the desire to get into the forums. Personally I felt the site’s content had to justify the monthly fee, not the forums. There are millions of forums, I am looking for something that gives me the edge and justifies the membership fee. I am very happy (actually upset I waited so long) with my Wealthy Affiliate membership and will keep it for many years.

There are so many cool features and great resources that I probably won’t be able to leverage the majority of them for months. Here are some of the featured sections: WA Jobs (internal job listings), WA Spaces (community), Site Rubix (this alone is probably worth the membership), FREE WA Hosting (yes, really free hosting), feeder sites (prebuilt sites you can use to start on the first day) and many more. The additional sections that have made it well worth the membership fee to me are the: Learning Resources (tutorial, case studies, online classes, etc), Tools (several custom tools which will replace many of my purchased commercial products), Market Materials (keyword lists, affiliate lists, etc) the 8 Week Action Plan (which is step by step action plan on how to make a profitable campaign (ppc or natural search), the forums and direct access the owners Kyle and Carson. People keep talking about them like they are friends or something. After being a member of the site for about 7 days, I feel like they are my friends now. You write them or ask advice and they respond - personally!

Wealthy Affiliate Membership SiteI feel like a kid in a candy store as soon as I login to the system. The Wealthy Affiliate membership site offers almost everything that I was wanting plus it has a ton of stuff that I didn’t think anyone would ever provide. It is all there just waiting on me to grab it and make money with it. I am starting to leverage what I am learning and I have already seen a boost in my existing income streams and I am about to start implementing all the new income streams and money making methods that I hadn’t even thought about. The multiple income generating techniques are not only talked about by the members and supporting materials / tutorials / case studies but they are shown with real working profitable campaigns and examples. I have learned more from seeing the real sites that are making the real money than all the written techniques combined in the past 5 internet marketing e-books that I have purchased.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about the quality of information and support Wealthy Affiliate would provide; however, right now my Wealthy Affiliate (“Internet Marketing University) membership is what I consider my number one asset and tool that IS going to increase my online income. And to answer the title: Yes, a Wealthy Affiliate membership will greatly assist you and expedite your ability to become wealthy with internet and affiliate marketing.
